Recommendations

  • Healthy hip positioning: Proper positioning is essential in any carrier. Always ensure your baby is seated in the deep “M” position with knees higher than the bottom, allowing weight to be supported primarily through the bottom rather than under the knees. Check this seated position each time you place your baby in the carrier.
  • Fabric and care: 85% Cotton 15% Linen
    • Spot clean as necessary
    • Hand wash or machine wash separately in garment bag on cold, gentle cycle
    • Reshape and flay flat to dry
    • We recommend spot cleaning where possible, and keeping machine washing to a minimum for best longevity
  • Age/Weight limit:
    • Minimum weight: 7lbs (or when baby can be worn safely with airways open and head above panel)
    • Maximum weight: 45 lbs

Safety rules

  • TIGHT: Your carrier should fit snugly and hold your baby close to your body. Tighten the straps to eliminate excess slack that could cause your baby to slump in the carrier, which may affect breathing.
  • IN VIEW AT ALL TIMES: You should always be able to see your baby’s face by simply glancing down. Never cover your baby in a way that requires opening the carrier to check their face.
  • CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS: Your baby’s head should rest close enough to kiss comfortably. Position the carrier high on your body, allowing you to easily kiss the top of your baby’s head or forehead.
  • KEEP CHIN OFF CHEST: Your baby’s chin should never rest against their chest, as this can restrict the airway. Ensure there is at least one finger width of space under the chin.
  • SUPPORTED BACK: In all positions, your baby’s back should remain naturally supported in a gentle C-curve, without slumping or arching, or excessive space between baby and wearer.

How to measure yourself?

  1. Bust: Measure around the widest part of your bust. Make sure the tape measure is level and not too tight.
  2. Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Take the tape measure and wrap it around your waist while keeping a space of one finger between the tape and your body to ensure a better fit.
  3. Hips: With your feet together, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hips. Make sure the tape is level and not too tight.
  4. Inseam: Measure from the top of the inside of your thigh to the bottom of your ankle.
